The Tony Carsburg Holden 'Bucking Thunder' Downunder Series

Rodeo action returns to Mullumbimby after a two year recess on Saturday, September 27th, 2008. All the family fun of previous years will return to the Les Donnelly Field in Mullumbimby as competitors get ready to take on raging bulls and twisting horses.

Gates open at 3.00pm with family fun and quality entertainment continuing until midnight. Local children’s band “Final Hope” kicks off the festivities, performing from 3.00pm until 6.00pm. Children can look forward to music, stalls, rides, entertainment and a jumping castle.

This year patrons will have a unique opportunity to view the area from high above by taking a tethered hot air balloon ride. All the fun of a local rodeo (missed last year due to the equine flu epidemic) will come to life again with entertainment for all age groups.

The rodeo action commences at 6.00pm. See the clowns in action and marvel at the tenacity of riders. All the excitement, thrill and spills continue until 9.00pm. At this time rock band, “One 2 Many” will take centre stage for your enjoyment. Throughout the event, guests can enjoy bar and barbecue facilities, displays by local Emergency Service crews and a variety of stalls.

Don’t miss this exciting event. Committee members have worked hard to provide quality entertainment for your enjoyment. Your cooperation by displaying responsible behaviour will ensure a safe and successful event.
